Application Processing FAQ
What to Expect During the Applications Process?
Seeking assistance
The University solely manages the application platform, while other aspects such as fees, leasing periods, room allocations, and operational procedures are handled by individual colleges / properties. These factors may vary slightly based on the student's preferred choice of accommodation.
Visit our College / Property Contacts FAQs page to get in touch with the relevant team and learn more.
Application processing time
The full application process with each accommodation provider — including (1) initial response, (2) interview (if applicable), and (3) offer or outcome — can take up to 25 business days.
-
Full Year and Sem 1 applications: Commence assessment around the month of August.
-
Sem 2 applications: Commence assessment around the month of March.
You can normally expect to receive an acknowledgement from your first preference college or property within 10 business days. This will confirm whether your application is progressing with that provider, or if it’s being passed to your next preference.
Applying for more than 1 Property at a time
The central application process for UWA Accommodation applications means your application will be reviewed by each provider in order of preference. The system is in place ensures that a student is not able to apply for multiple properties and take up offers that will cause other students to potentially miss out on getting accommodation.
